Registration open for Scotland’s Trade Fair Spring

From January 18 to January 20, the SEC in Glasgow will be giving a warm winter welcome to retailers far and wide as Scotland’s Trade Fair Spring gets underway.

Buyers can now register for entry tickets here and get a sneak preview of some of the gifts, homewares, accessories, textiles, and crafts that will be showcased.

Recently confirmed exhibitors include Coastal UK, Nemesis Now, Lume, Snug Aromatics, Ealain Publications, Formation Co. Jewellery, and Middleshade Perfume.

More than just a sourcing event, the show features a full programme of talks and panel discussions designed to equip visitors with insights into key retail trends and challenges.

Highlights include:

  • 2026 retail trends from a panel of suppliers and retailers
  • Digital masterclasses on TikTok, social media selling, and AI, delivered by Business Gateway specialists
  • Visual merchandising improvements with expert Arantxa Garcia
  • A one-to-one interview with House of Bruar managing director Patrick Birkbeck on building an award-winning store

  • A traditional sales masterclass with Therese Oertenblad, exploring the lasting power of human connection in retail
  • EPR and the new packaging schemes explained by Scottish Grocers’ Federation’s Cat Hay

In addition, at 1pm on Monday (January 19) and Tuesday (January 20), there will be a lively Nessie’s Den session where Launch Gallery exhibitors pitch their products to retailers and experts for feedback.

Monday’s panel features gift experts Dawn Kane from Scottish Seabird Centre, Carol Macrae from Eilean Donan Castle, and Wendy Ross from Ruby Red gifts shops. Tuesday’s session will focus on food and drink exhibitors. The co-located Speciality Food & Drink Show is supported by Scotland Food & Drink, who will bring some of their members, as well as key buyers.

Sponsored by The Giftware Association (GA), the Best Product Awards will once again recognise innovative, commercial products across the show, culminating in a high-profile awards ceremony at the end of the first day.

Judged by industry experts – Hayley Ker from Dobbies; Connor Heggie from Sterling Home, Therese Oertenblad from the Small Business Collaborative; Gemma Sault from The Giftware Association and Sarah Holmes Pencil Me In – these awards celebrate the very best on display. All exhibitors are encouraged to enter, with winners receiving free stand space for 2027.

Helen Crawford, co-owner of The Old School Beauly, near Inverness, said: “There is only one Scottish trade show for the gift sector – and this is it. It’s the absolute showcase for Scottish goods, and we should be proud of that. As a Scottish retailer selling both in-store and online, I always enjoy this show and place a significant number of orders. If you’re looking for beautiful, authentic, gorgeous Scottish stuff for your shop or website, this is where you come to source it.”

Show director Mark Saunders added: “Scotland’s Trade Fair punches well above its weight with some of the most creative and innovative suppliers in the market. Beyond the products, it’s a place to network, learn and connect – so January 18 to January 20 should be firmly fixed in every retailer’s diary.”
