Wrendale Designs has announced the acquisition of Lincolnshire-based home accessories brand Dora Designs, bringing together two businesses with a shared commitment to quality, originality, and thoughtful British design.
Founded in Stamford, Dora Designs has built a loyal following for its characterful fabric home accessories, and is best known for its whimsical animal doorstops, draught excluders and paperweights.
Also rooted in Lincolnshire, Wrendale Designs, has long admired Dora’s craftsmanship and its ability to create products that are both practical and full of personality.
Hannah Dale, co-founder of Wrendale Designs said: “I’ve always been a huge fan of Dora Designs and have bought several of their doorstops over the years, both as gifts and for our own home.”

The brand will relaunch as Dora by Wrendale in January 2027, following a period of careful development. Wrendale Designs’ approach is to preserve what customers and retailers value most about Dora Designs, while investing in its future through considered product development, design refinement, and long-term brand stewardship.
For retailers, the acquisition offers continuity alongside renewed investment. Dora by Wrendale will remain a distinct brand within the Wrendale portfolio, with its own clear identity and product focus, while benefiting from Wrendale’s established infrastructure, customer support. and strong independent retail relationships..
