BHETA (British Home Enhancement Trade Association) is to hold another of its popular face-to-face Meet The Buyer days with John Lewis & Partners, providing suppliers with the opportunity to showcase their products directly to one of the UK’s most trusted retail brands, known for its commitment to quality, value, and long-term supplier relationships.
Offering direct contact with John Lewis’ purchasing team, the event will take place on May 6 at the Hilton London Watford, Elton Way, Watford WD25 8HA.
John Lewis & Partners (JLP) operates 35 department stores across the UK, supported by a strong online channel, and serves millions of customers each year. With multi-billion-pound annual revenue, it offers suppliers the opportunity to work with a retailer that combines significant scale with a considered, quality-led approach to buying.
JLP’s buying team is seeking items in the following categories:
- Gifting collections within cookware
- Storage (no plastic) pantry solutions that are beautiful and possibly giftable, not grocery level
- Insulated picnic bags and rugs
- Wardrobe solutions (i.e. premium wardrobe fragrance and drawer liners)
- Natural fibres in storage and laundry, particularly chunky rattan sourced from Indonesia
- Bakeware (cake tins, accessories and supporting equipment)
- Global cooking trends, e.g. raclette, fondue, tagine, tapas, and balti dishes
- Tea and coffee-making products (no plugs)
- Premium moth prevention (i.e. cedar wood)
- Premium wooden and natural cleaning tools
- Premium laundry and utility solutions (not cleaning liquids), e.g. metal canisters/storage
Suppliers can bring two people to appointments and will be allocated a 20-minute meeting with the relevant buyer. Multiple appointments can be booked if suppliers have products relevant to different categories.
All supplier registrations are subject to approval by John Lewis, and meetings will be confirmed by the BHETA team. There is a cost of £89 plus VAT for BHETA members, £199 plus VAT for non-members attending their first BHETA Meet The Buyer day, or £249 plus VAT for non-members who have been to a previous such event.
