Small Business Britain launches Founders for the Future

Small Business Britain Founders

Small Business Britain has partnered with The White Company and The King’s Trust to launch Founders for the Future: a new product development and mentoring project supporting female entrepreneurs.

Five founders from the Small Business Britain community will receive mentoring and business development support from The White Company, with their products set to launch in selected The White Company stores and online in March 2027.

A percentage of profits will be donated to the #ChangeAGirlsLife campaign, which raises funds to help disadvantaged women aged 11 to 30 gain the confidence, education, and skills to launch careers, secure jobs or start businesses.

The selected founders are: Clare Towers (The Foxglove Tree)Hannah Buchanan(The Wirksworth Pottery Company)Kira Goode (The Journal Club), Georgie Roberts (Wanderlust Life) and Emma Britton (Emma Britton Decorative Glass Designer).

Michelle Ovens CBE, founder and CEO of Small Business Britain, said: “A cornerstone of our mission is to put our community in places of opportunity, and there’s no better example than this new project. Through our tailored business support, we see first-hand the passion and entrepreneurial spirit that our female founders have, but also the systemic disadvantages women face, especially women from underprivileged and underrepresented communities.

“We’re delighted to partner with The White Company and The King’s Trust, ensuring that the five founders benefit from expert mentorship and guidance, and get to see their very own products sold in stores and beyond.”

Small Business Britain has a mission to double the proportion of female small business owners in the UK from 15% of all entrepreneurs to 30% by 2030.
