Huge congratulations to Let’s Make & Do, which has been named the winner of the 2026 Not On The High Street Rising Star Award.
Selected from more than 5,000 Not On The High Street partners, the Cheshire-based gift brand was one of 30 nominees in the Small Brand Awards before taking home the Rising Star title at the awards ceremony in Birmingham on September 4.
Founder Ella Broughton was presented with the award by entrepreneur and former Dragons’ Den investor Sara Davies MBE.
Launched just over a year ago, Let’s Make & Do works with around 150 independent stockists across the UK and internationally, alongside its presence on Not On The High Street and its own online business.
The brand’s giftable creative kits include everything needed to get making, from materials and illustrated instructions to QR-code video tutorials.
For Ella, the award represents a significant milestone for a business built on creative product development and years of commercial retail experience. Before founding Let’s Make & Do, she held buying and product development roles with retailers including Fenwick, Paperchase and Oliver Bonas, developing products across multiple categories and working with manufacturers and artisan makers around the world.
Ella said: “Founding Let’s Make & Do has given me the opportunity to take everything I learned from that side of the industry and put it into my own products. Winning Not On The High Street’s Rising Star Award feels like a huge validation of what we’re building.
“I really wanted the whole experience to feel completely seamless. There’s nothing worse than opening a kit and then having to hunt around the house for a paintbrush that wasn’t included or trying to find the right tutorial video. Everything is there, and the videos are detailed enough that you can just get on with making. We’ve even designed them so that if you want to use the kits for something like a crafternoon or a birthday party activity, the tutorial can effectively be your host.”
Ella says Not On The High Street has also played an important role in the brand’s growth: “We’ve had a hugely positive experience as a Not On The High Street Partner, and it has opened up opportunities that have made a real difference to the business. With Pascal Schuster now leading the business as CEO and Sara Davies MBE joining as Non-Executive Director, Chief Brand Ambassador and Investor, it feels like a really exciting time to be part of the NOTHS community.”
The Rising Star award also brings a new opportunity, with Ella receiving a six-month mentoring programme with Sara Davies MBE.
The award comes at an exciting point for Let’s Make & Do, with the business continuing to develop new products, expand its retail network and invest in the infrastructure needed to grow.
