Off the back of previous successes at pop-up stores in London, Gold Trip opened its first solo pop-up last week (April 20-April 26) in the historic town of Woodstock in Oxfordshire.
Sitting in a listed building on the marketplace, Gold Trip filled 300 sq ft of store space with its demi-fine jewellery, rediscovered vintage jewellery, and hair and lifestyle accessories and gifts.
Woodstock sits right next to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and is a busy town of local residents, as well as domestic and overseas tourists.
Gold Trip founder Michelle Gay said: ‘As a predominantly online retailer and wholesaler, it’s been fantastic to meet customers face-to-face, and gain real insights into how they interact with our products in a physical retail environment. In a time of economic uncertainty, it was very encouraging to experience busy footfall and see strong sales across the board throughout our different product ranges.
“We’ve done several very successful pop-ups before, but this was our first solo pop-up – and it was incredible to see how the brand has grown over the past four years to be able to fill an entire store with our designs. We’ll definitely book some more pop-ups over the coming months.”
Founded in 2021, Gold Trip is an independent British jewellery brand based in London. Its collections are inspired by wanderlust, and formed on the belief that beautiful, high quality jewellery can be accessible and affordable. Despite being a relatively new player in the jewellery arena, the brand is already setting a high standard for design-led, superior-quality demi-fine jewellery.
Gold Trip’s next trade shows will be INDX Gift Edit in May (stand GA12) and Home & Gift in July (stand DP1-B100).
