Ravensburger celebrates 30th Christmas puzzle

Half Moon Bay

Ravensburger has revealed the finished image for a special addition to its festive puzzle lineup for 2026. The 1000-piece jigsaw entitled ‘Santa Takes a Break’ marks the 30th limited-edition Christmas puzzle in the company’s bestselling series.

The design features artwork by Roy Trower, who has illustrated this much-loved range of puzzles for more than two decades. For the first time, the artist presents puzzlers with a dual perspective, inviting them to experience the joy of the season both inside a cosy home and outside, with a snow-covered landscape visible through the window.

Ravensburger head of marketing and product development Katy Fletcher said: “Our yearly limited edition is always a highly anticipated addition to tabletops for thousands of puzzlers. Once again, Roy has captured the wonderful nostalgia that Christmas can evoke for so many of us.

“In this image there is so much to discover through its wealth of detail, and I know this puzzle will play a part in creating treasured memories for friends and families across the world – this year and for years to come. It’s a very fitting centrepiece to our Christmas puzzle offering in 2026.”

The first limited-edition Christmas puzzle in the series from Ravensburger was entitled “Victorian Christmas Scene”, depicting a classic Dickensian-style setting. Three decades later, the latest jigsaw shows Father Christmas taking the weight off his feet indoors while two small children take a sneak peek.

The eye is then drawn to a moonlit harbourside view outside, with snowy rooftops aplenty. The illustration is complemented by a seasonal dark blue box design that provides eye-catching shelf presence.
