Lark London opened its 18th store, on the high street of the Surrey town of Weybridge, on February 20.
The premises measures 800sq ft, which is the average size of the family-run independent retailer’s shops, which are based mainly in London.
The company aims to provide ‘beautiful products for your lifestyle and home’, offering an eclectic mix of 500-plus gifting, women’s, men’s and kids’ clothing brands.
Lark London has been slowly expanding over the past 21 years, with branches in Balham, Earlsfield, Tooting, Streatham, Herne Hill, Askew Road (Shepherds Bush), Chiswick, Clapham, Fulham, Raynes Park, Putney, Richmond, Woking, Southfields, East Sheen, Blackheath and Esher, and an online store at www.larklondon.com. It also operates four Jumping Bean shops (a sister company which is more premium version of Lark London) at Honor Oak, Beckenham, Dulwich and Camberwell.
Lark London directors Priya Aurora-Crowe and Dominic Aurora-Crowe said: “Weybridge was meant to open in October/November last year but got delayed until February in the end.” The husband-and-wife team added: “As we have moved near to Weybridge, we needed a local Lark to buy presents for kids’ birthday parties! We are super happy; the store opened with a bang – despite the awful weather – and we’ve had amazing feedback from customers who say our products are very reasonably priced, and our selection of cards is fantastic.”
