Scotland’s Trade Fair Spring and Speciality Food & Drink Show is back, taking place at Glasgow’s SEC from January 19 to January 21 2025. The show is co-located with the Speciality Food & Drink Show 2025 and provides a fantastic place for buyers to complete all of their home & gift buying as well as food & drink.
Meet brands such as Puckator, A.E. Williams, Xystos, Freya Mabel Makes, Dook of Edinburgh, Siabann, Neon Magpie, The Grey Earl, Soctopus, The House of Edgar, Gwynedd Confectioners, ERIBE Knitwear, Scottish Fine Soaps, The Whisky Chairmen, Malmo Home, Aether & Nox, Isle of Skye Candle Company, and Ocean Plastic Pots.
Buyers attending the show can see, touch, and feel the quality of products firsthand, allowing for a more informed purchasing decision. They will also have the opportunity to meet and negotiate directly with makers (from Scotland and beyond), gain insights into product stories, and find unique offerings.
Over 20% of exhibitors will be appearing at Scotland’s Trade Fair Spring for the very first time, offering visitors the chance to introduce something innovative and new to their shops.
“We recognise how key this show is for retailers – across not just Scotland, but the rest of the UK and overseas – to come and look, feel and discover products that will increase their sales”
But the show offers more than just sourcing and buying – it’s about learning too. On the schedule is a rich programme of panel discussions from Net Zero Nation on sustainability; discussions on upcoming trends; and the hot-button issue of what exactly ‘Made in Scotland’ means. Practical masterclasses on all aspects of retail will also be held, including the purpose and uses of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in business, and getting creative with Canva.
Helen Crawford, director of The Old School in Beauly said: “Footfall at our shop has grown year on year and this year is no different. It is particularly noticeable and pleasing how many returning customers tell us a visit to our shop is a must-do for them on every visit to the Highlands. Along with loyal local customers, we have had a good year and look forward to restocking at the show. It’s an absolute ‘must attend’ event where we will source new suppliers and reconnect with existing ones.”
Show director Mark Saunders commented: “We recognise how key this show is for retailers – across not just Scotland, but the rest of the UK and overseas – to come and look, feel and discover products that will increase their sales. By attending, you can be assured you’ll be ahead of your competitors in sourcing new ranges and new stock for the coming year. Make sure this date is firmly in your diary.”
