Author and illustrator Stacey McNeill, creator of Fox Under The Moon, has landed herself a publishing deal and will release her new illustrated gift book ‘Fox Under The Moon: Seasons of Comfort and Hope’ with Quercus (Hachette UK) on October 23.
Combining tender artwork with heartfelt reflections, Stacey’s work has built a global community of over 285,000 followers. Her new full-colour hardback book aims to offer readers of all ages a journey through the seasons, exploring themes of hope, resilience, love, and change. It invites them to walk alongside a small fox and a wise old moon, exploring life’s ups and downs and finding light even in the darkest seasons.
“As soon as Fox Under The Moon made its way onto my Instagram feed, I knew it was something special”
Stacey said: “This book is a collection of my heart. I wanted to create a safe space: a little world where it’s okay to feel, to hope, and to heal. I hope it brings comfort, encouragement, and a little magic – just when readers need it most.”
Kate Hewson, non-fiction publisher at Quercus, commented: “As soon as Fox Under The Moon made its way onto my Instagram feed, I knew it was something special. Stacey has a unique way of bringing out the beauty in universal experiences and making us all feel a little more hopeful in tough times.”
Already praised as “wise and warm, like a hug from the universe” by Sunday Times best-selling author, Donna Ashworth, ‘Fox Under The Moon: Seasons of Comfort and Hope’ will be available for pre-order from May 15.
