Gifts Today caught up with Bloomingville’s Sales Director, Camilla Fredberg Vestertjele, pictured here in the showroom in Denmark. Camilla says: ‘I joined Bloomingville over a year ago and what a journey it has been! I was attracted to the company as it is undoubtedly the market leader, I saw great potential for growth and I wanted to play a part in this.
‘Of course it has been a very different start to this year than the one we expected but at the end of June we found that 2020 year to date sales finished much higher than 2019, an amazing result and helped from a spike in sales for our on line customers.
‘Now shops are opening again we are seeing that the order intake for the new collection is very strong, increasing our confidence for a good performance in the second half. This experience is most certainly the case in the UK where shops reopened on 15 June.
‘What has been really interesting in the UK however is the significant rise in new account applications. Our UK Country Manager, Simon Pykett explained to me that because Bloomingville have stock now and have their AW20 and Christmas collection coming in on time, many retailers are contacting us where supply from their existing brands is proving difficult.
