Kerry Bilson, the founder and director of gift brand Letterbox Love, has been crowned silver winner in the Young Business Woman of the Year category of the National Business Women’s Awards 2025.
The awards programme celebrates industrious, hardworking and enterprising businesswomen from across the UK. The winners were announced during a ceremony at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge on October 9.
From her home in Derbyshire, Kerry runs Letterbox Love alongside her husband Liam. The small business is known for its meaningful bracelet gifts and original poetry cards that spread kindness and connection through the post.
Since launching five years ago, Letterbox Love has grown from humble kitchen-table (and caravan-on-the-drive) beginnings to a much loved brand, now stocked in hundreds of independent gift shops nationwide and cherished by customers for its message: “It’s nice to be nice.”
Kerry told Gifts Today: “Being recognised in these awards means so much, especially for someone who often struggles with imposter syndrome! I was once told by a previous employer that I’d need to act differently to be taken seriously in business – that being a bit ‘ditsy’ would hold me back. As much as I now realise that person was only trying to help me, this is proof that you can be completely yourself and still achieve great things.
“Letterbox Love started with a hope to make people feel special, and to see it recognised at this level is truly incredible.”
